Tony Blair: The Media made the war unpopular

I think I've just had enough of St. Tony and his bloody rubbish. Not that I was one of those doe-eyed happy-clappy idiots who saw Labour winning an election as a new dawn. Over the years I've seen him do a reasonable job. Ignoring the war in Iraq he really has done a pretty impressive piece of work but hey, the war in Iraq is a major mess-up. He has to put his hands up on that one. Doesn't he?

Americans frighten me

I know, it's not big or clever to take the mick out of the Yanks. Everyone does it, but it sure is easy. However, this piece of news not only gives me the chance to blog about the wacky stuff they get up to but also it allows me to register my concern that a nation with people who say stuff like this...

License to talk rubbish

In a recent speech the head of BBC's television news department, Peter Horrocks, has suggested that the BBC should give more airtime to extremist views. Apparently he doesn't think that there's enough BNP, Taliban, Muhajiroun or any other nutjobs you could mention on TV at the moment. Actually Mr. Horrocks the answer to your bizarre argument rhymes with your surname.

Alexander Litvinenko RIP

Unfortunately, tonight, Alexander Litvinenko has lost his fight against being poisoned. Alexander was allegedly poisoned by the Russian authorities because of his investigation into other victims of alleged state violence. This really isn't anything new. There are hundreds of modern cases, and in the case of Stalin's era, millions of examples of this.

My sympathies go out to Alexanders family and friends and I hope other brave men like him get to the truth of what has happened. Not only in this case but the case of Anna Politkovskaya, the other brave journalist to allegedly die at the hands of the FSB (formerly the KGB).

Where's the riot I was promised?

I'm suing the Daily Mail. Come to think of it, I'm suing the Daily Mail, the Conservative Party and every other doomsayer that predicted the end of civilisation with regards 24 hour drinking. It seems in just one year all of the ills that they have predicted have failed to materialise. What with the lack of social breakdown and the orgy of violence and all the other armageddon starting nastiness.

'Ellowski, ellowski, ellowski'

I'm guessing this won't be a popular news story in certain newspapers and certain political groups. The idea of 'foreigners' policing us is hard for some to swallow but I have no such reservations. I applaud the new incentive (which hopefully will move forward) to recruite Polish migrants into the police force. I for one have nothing against hardworking Poles coming to the UK and working hard. I loathe the likes of the BNP and other scaremongering racists that gnash their teeth at the idea of immigrants. The fact is Britain is far better with immigration than it would be without.
